Busy life, finding time for exercise

How in the world are we supposed to add an uninterrupted hour and half of exercise to our already overflowing busy schedule? Let me stop right there and digest that statement. The first point I want to make is the question itself. How do we do it? The first step in deciding to do it, is making it a priority in your life. You will always find every excuse if it is not. You might be thinking in your mind... "Taylor you work from home" "Taylor you only have one baby" Taylor you are young," if you are thinking those things...There is your first problem. It does not matter what I have going on in my life. It does not matter if you think I have it easier than you. This does not affect whether or not you can or can't exercise. Trust me when I say I have been there. It is hard. I get it. The first step is making it part of your day. When it is part of your day, you just do it. The next part of the statement above I want to talk about is the time part. You DO not have to be in the gym or working out for an hour and a half. If you are, there is also nothing wrong with that. Each person has individual goals/lifestyles/schedules and the time spent should be based on what is feasible for your own life. The reason I talk about this is because I feel like a lot of times we think "I don't have an hour, so I can't do it" I will be the first to admit, I was bad about this in the past. Since having Eli, I have had to really focus on short/compact at home workouts. In the past I would get up at 6am and do cardio at the gym and then I would use my lunch break to do a 30 min casual weight lifting session. I just do not have time to do this anymore, so I combined both and I usually do not go over 35 mins of exercise/day. If you do not have 35 minutes in your day, try 15-20 minutes. You can do some great hard 20 minute circuits at home. My next tip is START SMALL. If you have no consistent routine right now and don't know where to start. I want you to set a goal of 3 15 minute workouts/week. You are probably thinking "what will that do, that is nothing." Let me tell you.... right now you are doing nothing or maybe you are in a yoyo exercise plan of starting and stopping because each time you start you kill yourself and can't walk for 3 days after, only to lead you to hating it and not doing another thing for several weeks. START SMALL and slowly add to time or days per week. My last tip for you is find YOUR motivation and fill your social media with positive realistic accountability. The only rule on this one is do NOT compare your chapter 1 to someone else's chapter 20. I post quick at home workouts on @413Nutritiondietitan on Instagram. Follow along for some ideas.
